First United conducts weddings for all persons associated with the congregation and First United does welcome inquiries from those outside the congregation.

First United also has a long history of conducting same-sex marriages and began conducting such services in 1992 as Holy Unions, prior to the legalization of same-sex marriage in Canada.

All arrangements for a wedding service are made through the Minister of First United Church and approved by the Church Council.  Where it is desired to have another clergy person officiate, or to assist, such can be accommodated.

We believe that each ceremony is a unique celebration, and so couples meet with the minister on several occasions to create a ceremony that is personal and meaningful.

For more information, please contact the office administrator or the minister.
